A UNIQUE event blending a passion for vintage automobiles with charitable giving is underway as “Rentas Perak 2025” takes classic car enthusiasts on an unforgettable endurance run across the scenic landscapes of Perak, with a particular focus on showcasing the historical and natural beauty of Lenggong.
Owners of ‘vintage’ cars of at least 30 years will participate in the three-day event, which runs from today, April 24, to April 26, 2025, on an adventure of about 600 kilometres.
Drivers will navigate the diverse terrains of Perak, traversing both scenic coastal and motorway roads, with a significant portion of the route designed to explore the unique landscapes and potentially historical sites of Lenggong.
The roadshow captivates a colourful journey through Perak’s natural and cultural beauty, with Lenggong playing a key role in the itinerary.
More than just a drive, Rentas Perak is billed as an experience that calls for a spirit of adventure and self-reliance.
Participants are expected to embrace the open road and be prepared for vehicle maintenance throughout the journey, fostering a sense of camaraderie amongst fellow enthusiasts as they discover the byways.
The core focus of the event is endurance driving and the exploration of Perak’s beauty, with a special emphasis on the attractions of Lenggong.
Beyond the thrill of the drive and the appreciation of classic automotive heritage, Rentas Perak 2025 has a significant social cause at its heart: fundraising for PapanSouls to support stray animal welfare, specifically their feeding and adoption drives.
All proceeds from the event will directly contribute to PapanSouls’ work in providing food, care, and facilitating adoptions for animals in need.
This initiative builds upon the success of previous charity fundraising events organised by the Practical Classic Drivers (PCD) team, including Rentas Peninsular (2023), Rentas Pantai (2023), and Rentas Peninsular (2024).
The inclusion of Lenggong in this year’s route offers participants a unique opportunity to combine their passion for classic cars with the exploration of a historically significant region, all in support of a worthy cause.
